Tennessee School of Beauty students will support the 14th Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day (CSBSD), a national effort to pamper cancer survivors and patients with complimentary beauty services.

This year’s Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day is Tuesday, June 7. Tennessee School of Beauty students will offer free haircuts and/or free shampoos and styling by appointment between 9:30 am and 4:00 pm or 5:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Cancer survivors and patients should call 865.588.7878 for appointments.

CSBSD is a day when those in the beauty and related industries in all 50 states volunteer to offer complimentary services to all men, women and children cancer survivors, regardless of cancer type or date of diagnosis. The event was started by Barbara Paget of Highland Park, Illinois, in 2003 after learning about a salon in California that offered complimentary salon services to cancer survivors and patients.

“We are proud to invite all cancer survivors to participate in our Cancer Survivor Beauty and Support Day activities,” says Adam Brown, owner of Tennessee School of Beauty. “This is a great way for us to give something back to the cancer survivors in our community who experienced so much fighting their respective illnesses. CSBSD gives our students the opportunity to to provide a little personal kindness and pampering.”
