Observing Breast Cancer Awareness Month has never been sweeter.

Throughout October, Nothing Bundt Cakes, located at 5300 Kingston Pike in the heart of Bearden, will donate 20 percent of all sales of its pink cakes to the L5 Foundation, an organization that works to meet the practical, everyday needs of cancer patients in treatment.

On Monday, October 24, 20 percent of sales of all cakes will benefit L5 Foundation.

“We are excited to partner with L5 Foundation and to help meet the needs of cancer patients right here in East Tennessee,” says Anna Beth Meccia of Nothing Bundt Cakes.

L5 Foundation was founded by Dr. Susan Newman, an oncologist at the University of Tennessee Medical Center Cancer Institute. She saw first-hand how some of her patients struggled to meet the practical, everyday needs of life, like getting food on the table, paying utility bills or filling up the gas tank to get to treatment.

“Every dollar we raise helps ease the financial burden cancer patients and their families face during treatment,” Newman says. “We are grateful to Nothing Bundt Cakes for coming along side these families during the month of October.”
