Carrie L. Dugan, sales consultant for Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville, was selected as a Mercedes-Benz Sales Laureate in 2014, an honor that included corporate recognition, a trophy for display at work and a trip to Germany to tour the automaker’s manufacturing facilities and museum.
The Sales Laureate program is a new program for Mercedes-Benz, and recipients were chosen based on customer satisfaction survey data from May-July 2014. Thirty-six recipients were selected from across the country. Dugan notes that just three of people attending with the sales group were women. The award is an expression of gratitude and as recognition of employee commitment, passion and pride for the Mercedes-Benz brand.
Dugan was presented with the trophy at the Furrow Automotive Group’s 100th anniversary celebration held at Mercedes-Benz of Knoxville in October. Jeff Hubbard, Mercedes regional representative, presented the trophy.
“It was such an honor to be selected, and the trip was absolutely amazing,” Dugan said. “The trip included touring three Mercedes-Benz factories, including the AMG factory in Alflatterbach, along with Sindelfingen, one of the largest automobile factories in the world, which employs over 39,000 people.”
Laureates also toured the famous nine-story Mercedes-Benz museum in Stuttgart, the flagship Mercedes-Benz dealership located next door, and took a couple of day trips.
